Badága
Badága is a procession. I tried to do it as an archetypical form, the procession exalting something. That something could be a nation, a god or an idea, perhaps a political one. Or perhaps something else. What is in it important is to walk together and make music in praise of something larger than the performers and audience.
I have tried to write it with a clearly recognisable traits of processional music but avoided anything that could give it a specific meaning beyond that, such as a specific place, time or belief. Badága was selected for the Young Nordic Music Festival in Helsinki 2010.
